The historic conservation village of Coldingham is located 3 miles north-west of Eyemouth on the North Sea coast, in Berwickshire.
Developed after the establishment of the Abbey of Coldingham in the seventh century. The original Abbey was lost in a fire but the remains can of the priory can be seen today.
Coldingham Sands - Award Winning !!
Today Coldingham Priory is still home to the local Church of Scotland parish church for Coldingham. More information can be found from the Coldingham Site.
Coldingham Sands is an award-winning sandy seashore, which is a rare occurrence on Berwickshire's rocky coast. The beach was awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award in 2010 and has also received the Seaside Award which is for beaches that are more rural in character, being quieter and less developed. There is a cafe, toilets, disabled access and car parking.
During the summer months the beach is patrolled by Life Guards. Coldingham Bay is also a popular surfing destination. For those who prefer walking, the spectacular Berwickshire Coastal path passes by the village.

Coldingham is an ideal base for exploring this part of the country with St Abbs just a short walk away.
